I have always loved the poems in A Child's Garden of Verses by Robert Louis Stevenson, yet I never knew anything about his life. Now I do. I think the title of the book is misleading for if their love was violent, that part was never really described in this book. Intense would probably be a better word.Product details

I was very disappointed by this book; it's presented as though it is biographical, but when I began the book, it soon became very evident that it was a fictional account. I had just finished reading a fictional account of this couple that was extremely well-written, and I was looking forward to reading a true account of Robert Louis Stevenson and Fanny Osbourne.
