Loved this book, not like I didn't think I wouldn't, I've loved pretty much everything this author has written. The world's she creates and the characters she writes are an addiction. They are like crack! You can't stop reading and you're always left wanting more.

I loved the fact that you still get a lot from the main characters from HOD but not so much as to take away from Daniel and Callie in this book. Although you might be a little upset with Jaymin after you finish this one, im sure she will find a way to make it up to us....Right?

Another great book from Jaymin. Eagerly awaiting HOL!!!

It was a satisfying read even with a heart wrenching moment in the book. I enjoyed the interesting world building and pacing of the story was well done.

Why, oh why are the nice guys the ones to always die? I had hopes of a spin off series with him and other side characters. I mean, I just liked his character but he died a hero and if someone has to die that is the was to do it. I understand the stakes were being raised and it was well done. I laughed. I teared up. Emotions all over. A satisfying read.
Jaymin has a way of making her stories fun, sexy, tense, and exciting. Her characters have depth and the dialog is always realistic. The storyline is good and is told from a different pov than the first in the series which gives it a different flavor. It's reminiscent of The Walker Sage by her.

I definitely recommend this series if you like urban fantasy/paranormal.
Jaymin freaken knocked this one out of the park! This book is nonstop action, adventure, snarky comebacks and makes you fall hard and fast for its characters. Jaymin really has a knack for creating amazing stories and worlds that are unique, utterly beautiful and terrifying, and grounded in a way that makes you think it’s real.
 
Callie is a captures your heart with her hilarious sarcasm and awesome one-liners that leave you laughing out loud. Her first interaction with Daniel….omg…I died! I laughed sooooo hard! Then when she hears his response….I just can’t! It great to see their relationship develop throughout the book.
 
Don’t miss out on the AMAZING series! It’s a definite must read!
It was a great second installment. House of Darken was better in my opinion but I’m more of a hate turns to love kinda gal.

As far as the world created in this series- wow! I am so happy to read something new. The whole concept is great and I’m surprised at every new thing built into this world. The plot continues from book one with new characters so you get a new POV in book two which is nice - Callie is a badass. Also, somehow Jaymin took me from hating the Daelighters to loving them. I’m happy to see the strong presence of female friendships, I think this is a big plus.

I wish the relationship building wasn’t so rushed but I think Jaymin is offering us a new relationship perspective in this one versus having the same relationship play out in each book. I can appreciate this aspect but it still felt like it was rushed. I just want more of everything!!!
Jaymin has an amazing story telling ability. She ties all her characters into the story with so much precision that you can relate and feel for each one. This second story was so well written and adapted and flowed with the previous book and characters. The next one will be just as amazing. I guess I am a sucker for soal-mate and unconditional love. This series does have a fall fast and hard love connection. But it is well adapted into the story. is a romance book with an intimacy scene. Which I believe they will all have.

Usually when you read the second book in a series, after an amazing first book, you are left wanting. The usual second book is slower and takes more time for character building leaving the reader craving some action.

This. Is. Not. That. Book.

Seriously, I loved Callie and Daniel so much!

I don't know how Jaymin Eve wows me every time. I didnt think I could love another character in this series as much as I love Emma, but boy was I wrong.

This book picks up pretty much where book one ends, and trust me the action never stops. You will not predict this ending!

As usual, Jaymin has a nearly flawless book, with little to no writing errors. What can I say? I was blown away!
I'm loving this series by Jaymin Eve. House of Imperial is just amazing. Daniel the Overlord of House of Imperial sets out to save the Secret Keeper of his House, Callie. The chemistry between Daniel and Callie is hot but also very warm. Callie is strong, a fighter, and yet so lonely. She’s amazing as she navigates through this Alien world and all the emotional changes. Jaymin Eve writes Callie so well. You feel along with her every step of the way. So many twists and turns occur in the continuation of the series and what Laous is trying to accomplish. Heartbreak, betrayal, hurt, and love all experiences of this terrific book. You will be so enthralled with the new world Jaymin Eve has created that you will feel as if you are experiencing it yourself. So excited for the next adventure with the House of Leights.
