Funny, exciting, mysterious! What happens next? Love the mix of magic & reality, politics & human nature. Great YA fantasy mystery, full of suspense!
I just finished this book and really didn't want it to end. It was very engaging with an original plot. By the time I was half way through it I was cheering for all of the characters plot progressions.
Fun read - a couple of minor editing issues, but it doesn't read like a self-published book. The characters are well-developed with realistic (and very relatable) personality flaws and strengths. It left me wanting more - I am looking forward to the next installment!
It was a fun book, but the ending left a lot to be desired. Hopefully there will be another book.
An excellent book with an interesting storyline. The heroine is a complex individual with real human thoughts and feelings. The adventure contained in this story makes you want to read the next book to find out what happens with Bryn, Tara, and Sid. The hints at Tara's mothers exploits also make you want to learn more about her adventures. Overall, this is an intriguing story perfect for readers of any age.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book! As a busy mom, I had "text to speech" read it to me. (I know that might see like cheating, but I really wanted to read it, even if that meant listening to it while I washed dishes or folded laundry.) The story develops beautifully and leaves you wanting more. I an so excited to read the 2nd book.
